Questions about an attic installation
I used the antenna selection feature on the web-site and it was suggested that I use a Channel Master 3016. I was planning on mounting the antenna in my attic and the dimensions of for the Channel Master 3016 may not work. I don't think I have enough room to set a 66"X84" antenna. Also this is a directional antenna; would I need a rotor to pick up for optimal signal on the different stations? I purchased a small directional antenna from radio shack and ran a "test" installation and I would get ghosting on one of the primary channels I was interested in by leaving the antenna in a fixed location. For this reason I was thinking I would need an omni-directional antenna like the Winegard MS-2000, AntennaCraft 5MS921 or Channel Master CM 3000. Would any of these three be recommended for an attic installation? Would amplification of the signal be needed? Or other equipment for running this to 3 TVs? Would I be "over buying" more antenna than i need?
I live in the Jenks, OK (just south of Tulsa) and from antennaweb.org I'm less than 20 miles from the channels of concern and they are all between 88° to 75° on the compass.
Any suggestions from any one that has tried a similar application?
