thanks again for the help. i too used the antennaweb.org site and inputting my exact address I'm about 16-19 miles from the two transmitters that I'm interested in. I purchased the "package" deal on the channel master 3010 stealth antenna so I'll see if I need the pre-amp or not.
Thanks for providing useful tech support for an antenna newbie. I went into this adventure prepared to spend $$$ on this and feel like I'm going to have a quality system with minimal cost. We'll see what happens after install, but I'm confident that it should work out.
