Default Can I Do This?

To make an antenna all directional can I face to UHF bow antenna [like the DB2] in two different directions and combine the signal with a combiner? Would this not work because of interferance or something?

I have a small bow in my attic and basicaly I get all the stations. The problem is sometimes the North stations I have a weker signals and some drop-outs. Don't want to use a rotor, thought a [2]ants. facing in both directions may work. But if it woulf, why don't they sell or show them like that? I mean could the DB8 be set up so the grids face opposite directions?

Thanks for any help.
