can't watch dtv / channels change on there own

Hey All,

Here is a weird problem. On Tuesday (last week) my DirecTv started going crazy. This first thing that happened was I began getting "search for signal" every 30seconds to 2 minutes on some channels. The next day got much worse so i decided to do a reset which then caused it not to get any signal. I did a power cycle and got my TV back up and running but when i went to look at the guide all my local channels were gone. I went to watch TBSHD and it tuned into Disney channel so i changed to TNTHD and it tuned into Disney. The SD channels worked fine but also received interference at times. So while watching my ugly SD channels i started recording and went to change the channels and it then said i couldn't because i was recording when usually i can record and watch another channel but it only was picking up that i could only record 1 channel at a time.

On Saturday while watching TV with poor reception my channels would then change to the directv logo randomly and play music like i was watching XM radio and that is where i am at now. Also all of my Encore/Starz channels do not work anymore except at random times. From that day i cant watch tv due to it randomly changing to music channels while not actually changing channels. It feels like the tv puts me on hold. At times it will randomly work perfectly but it is very rare.

I run through direcpath which powers my whole neighborhood on 2 dishes so does anyone have any advice for me before i can get a tech out on Thursday?
