Default Wichita Channels Missing?

OTA was setup and all HD chans were good as recently as last summer. PBS (8-1/29) is most difficult signal, but had all 3 HD PBS channels. My video distrib node fried 07 and it's replaced.

Connect antenna to HDTV direct & NO signal for PBS & CBS (12-1/19). Rest of HD chans good. I got Winegard GS2200 to replace the attic instal to improve signal loss thru roof. No change-whether distrib node or direct antenna to HDTV. NO signal for PBS or CBS. It's been >3 months! I need help! At this point feel like I've "wasted" $80 on outdoor instal. Antennaweb says I'm ~30 miles from both of these channels, but it's worked before...

Are they broadcasting? How else to improve reception? HELP!

PBS may have lowered their broadcast strength, currently they are only sending out a 146 Kilowatts, which is the lowest signal in your area. Most are broadcasting at 800 or 1000 Kw. CBS however is at 1000 Kw.

I think your problem is that you have a multi directional antenna, while most stations are coming from one direction, roughly 300 degrees. The gs2200 picks up two simultaneous directions, this causes a lot of confusion for Digital tuner, especially if its picking up CBS and also picking up a reflected PBS.

I recommend getting a directional antenna outside. Or if you are set on the attic then get a large directional in the attic. If you want a recommendation please give me your zipcode.
