Default Combining TV reception signals from two different directions using two TV antennas

When you want to receive signals from towers that are in two different directions, you can use a splitter if the cable lines total less than 100 feet.

Connect both antennas WITH EQUAL lengths (a must) of RG6 Cable using a CP2532 splitter/combiner. Then run the cable to your receiver or TV.

Another option if your lines total more than 100 feet

If the lengths of cable you are using total more than 100 feet, you will need to use a pre-amp such as the CM7777. Connect both antennas WITH EQUAL lengths of RG6 Cable (a requirement). One cable run coming from an antenna will be connected to the VHF or UHF slot on the pre-amp and the other RG6 cable from the other antenna will go to the VHF slot on the pre-amp. You then run the output slot from the pre-amp to the power inserter (power inserter comes with pre-amp) into your house, then to your off-air tuner/receiver or TV.

One of my antennas is VHF/UHF, the other is UHF only. Does it make any difference which one I connect to which input of my CM7777. Currently the VHF/UHF is connected to the combined input. The UHF only antenna is new. I realize I will have to open the unit and activate the second input.

If you wish to combine the VHF and UHF from the combo antenna with the UHF only, then you should use a two way splitter before going into the 7777 UHF/Combined port. However, if you wish to join just the VHF portion of the antenna with the UHF from the other, then you will have have to open the switch and switch it to separate. Running the UHF antenna into the combined/UHF input and the VHF/UHF antenna into the other.

The second method is the best way to avoid interference. Don't worry about keeping the cable lengths the same, this only matters if theres a dramatic difference between the two lengths.
