Default DB4 Terrestrial Digial

Hello, I am a new member to Solid Signal today. I have an attic mount DB4 Terrestrial Digital antenna. Got it attached to a Dish TV system. Works great.

Nice install! What is your zipcode so I can see how far you are, people always say you lose 50% in the attic but its cool to see what actually works.

Would you mind if we used that picture on our DB4 Product page?

Thanks Mike. Sure you can use the pic for your DB4 Product page. Got more pics if you wish for them. My zipcode is right under my join date, 62269 O'Fallon, IL. I have the antenna pointing almost straight West to St Louis. I am taking a chance that all the channels will stay UHF when the big change takes affect next year. All of the channels that I want TV stations are located 20 to 26 miles from our home. I had it all working before I joined Dish TV because Charter Cable lost CBS HD. Was pulling in almost 100% signal according to my TV meter. I went ahead and installed an amp anyway and it did not improve the signal strength that much. The DB4 Terrestrial antenna is connected to a Channel Master amp and then split to three TV locations. Here is a pic of my head end area where the OTA antenna coax comes in. I now have Dish TV and the DB4 all blended in together and it is working outstanding. Also, still have very basic cable service coming in on an A/B switch for an additional backup in case of satellite or OTA signal loss.

In the attic splitting three ways with the DB4 at your mileage definately bends the 50% rule. That is actually more of a rule of thumb, but I'm glad to hear your getting a "solid signal"

Your head end is impressive, I even made it my desktop background for the day! I like the A/B switch, as soon as satellite goes out you can just hit that one button. Thanks again for the picture of the DB4, we will be uploading it to the product page tomorrow.

You are welcome. Do you have any connections with Dish TV? I need a five satellite switch. I emailed Dish and asked about the DPP64 switch that was rumored about a year ago. They sent back that there is nothing to release about it. I would like to know what the real deal is. Are they thinking about it, has the idea been scrubbed, etc, etc!! I asked SolidSignal_Katie about it in another thread, but no response from her.
