I just bought the Acutrac 22 Pro, I have used the charger that came with the product. The charger shows between 16.4 to around 15.0V the battery only goes up to around 7.3 to 7.4V. I have let it charge for the whole 14hrs and a little more. At times I turn on the meter and it shows Battery Dead, then at times it will show the meter for the LNBs. Also at times I connect to DirectTV receiver to the meter then use two cables from the dish and at times it will show Charger Low, and then at times it will let me use the functions of the meter, at times for only a few minutes and at times for a while.
The instructions show that it the battery should be a 8.4V battery but how come the battery meter shows only 7.4V and no more. |

Hi:
I have had the same meter for about a year now, and find it very good at tuhning up my dish antennas. The only weak point I see in the Accutrac 22 is the battery. I think they should offer a belt-mounted battery pack with it. I always recharge mine before using it, but the battery only lasts for aboutg 15 minutes, then I have to switch to using the sat receiver to power the LNBs. It sounds like you may have a battery issue you should discuss with the Accutrac folks. I just finished installing a new AU9-S slimline using my accutrac 22, and it was a piece of cake. The Au9 seems much broader than the old AT9 and the results are noticeable. Good luck HDTVED |
