Will my antenna have to be pointed directly at the transmitter to get digital signals like I have to now to get HDTV or will those signals be picked up on the side of the antenna like the analog signals now do. In other words I can point the antenna NE and pick up analog signals from due North and due east. However on HDTV I have to move the antenna. Will standard def digital act like the analog reception or the HD reception? Thanks

I would point near the weakest transmitter and you should be able to pick up the others. It will depend on where you live and the surroundings. I am using the DB8 Multi-Directional HDTV Antenna and receive all of my locals except for PBS.

Yes, the digital signals will be coming in along the same lines the analog signals are currently, the analog signals will just be replaced by the digital ones after the transition is complete. So whatever your doing now to get your analog signals will work fine for the digital signals.
